Little India

A 13-minute walk from the hotel, the Little India district is a shining example of Singapore’s diverse cultural heritage. This colourful and vibrant area overflows with shops and stalls, as well as countless dining options whose irresistible aromas will tempt you to stay for lunch or dinner. The district has a fascinating history. During the middle of the 19th century, Europeans were drawn to Little India for the racecourse that was once famous here, and Indian migrants arrived as cattle trading flourished. Today, Hindu and Chinese temples sit alongside churches and mosques around Serangoon Road. Nearby, the Mustafa shopping mall is open 24 hours a day offering jewellery, clothing and groceries.
